The client contacted Gestión de Compras to subcontract part of an assembly that they had previously manufactured in-house.
Client’s Needs
Improve the competitiveness of the final product by subcontracting part of the assembly in more competitive markets (specifically, washers and nuts). The supplier had to meet quality standards and have a production volume suitable for the client’s needs. The manufacturing process of the parts had to be properly audited at the factory by an independent Certifying Agent appointed by the client.
Services Offered and Results
After an intensive supplier selection process, Gestión de Compras began supplying the requested parts through one of its representatives in Asia, after the client’s approval of the drawings and samples, and the acceptance of the offered prices, which led to a significant reduction in the price of the final assembly.
The production process of the parts was successfully audited by the certifying entity Bureau Veritas, with the assistance of our personnel at the origin. Currently, this certification is renewed every two years.
We are currently supplying these parts continuously, managing annual volumes of approximately 1.5 million euros.
