SPC floors, walls or wall panels are manufactured using a combination of mineral additives and PVC composite. The process consists of extruding a PVC profile through a three-, four- or five-roll laminator. Which combines a PVC color film and a PVC profile (with a wear-resistant layer) by in-line lamination. The process is simple, and lamination is completed by heating without the need for adhesives.
The materials of SPC flooring or panels use environmentally friendly formulations, free of harmful substances such as heavy metals, phthalates, formaldehyde, etc., and comply with EN 14372, EN 649-2011, IEC 62321, GB 4085-83, etc. standards. The density of SPC boards manufactured is 1.9-2 tons/cubic meter, and the shrinkage rate of SPC board is ≤ 1 ‰ (shrinkage test standard: 80℃, standard for 6 hours).

However, based on the effectiveness of equipment use and after-sales service feedback, we recommend choosing a parallel twin screw extruder + auxiliary machine GDC1350, as the operation of the parallel twin screw extruder is simpler compared with the conical extruder, and the professional requirements for operation are simplified, especially for the installation and adjustment of the screw barrel. The parallel twin screw extruder is very simple, and the adjustment difficulty of the conical twin screw extruder is high.
At present, there are three major problems related to manufacturing costs when manufacturing SPC sheet in Europe: first, professional technical problems; the second problem is the production labor cost and electricity cost; the third problem is the cost of raw materials.

- The problem of labor and electricity cost. It is recommended to choose extrusion equipment with high extrusion capacity, such as GDC175 parallel twin screw extruder with a production capacity of 60-80 tons/day; over our GDC130 parallel twin screw extruder or GDC110/220 conical twin screw extruder with a production capacity of only 25-30 tons/day.
- The problem of raw material cost. The main reason is the cost of calcium carbonate. In Asia, the price of calcium carbonate does not exceed 28 Eur/Ton, while in Europe, the price is above 90 Eur/Ton.
